Take a day trip to:

Oamaru

A twenty minute drive takes you to the historic town of Oamaru with its classic and impressive limestone buildings.   In recent times the town has branded itself "A Victorian Town at Work" and the historic precinct is a must-see for visitors.   Every November there are Heritage celebrations when many of the townsfolk dress in Victorian costume and take part in special events including penny-farthing bicycle races.

Golf Course

Nine hole Golf Course

Golf Course

John and Anne have owned the course since 2003, although it has been in John's family since it was established by John's great-uncle in the 1920's.   It is a 9 hole course, designed by a professional of the day and as well as being pleasing to the eye, is a challenge to the good golfers.   There is no club attached, and play is by invitation only.   A small group of locals play one day a week, and some of the group help with maintenance.  Otherwise, John mainatins the course and is currently re-landscaping it.  Whether you are a serious golfer or just enjoy a walk, it is a peaceful and atttractive area with an abundance of native birds.

We have clubs available for our guests.   There is a small charge.
